GREAT CHANGES ARE IN THE WORKS FOR REC COUNCIL…. Stay tuned!

In spite of the changes coming, the Council is still looking to fill the positions of Vice President, Marketing Chairperson and Community Service Chairperson. For information about the upcoming changes or information about the positions listed above, please contact President Robin Wallace at get_fit_21@yahoo.com, or Advisor Bob Holub at 216-8012-3257. For your convenience, the descriptions of the vacant positions are listed below:

Vice President

• Work cooperatively with the President.
• Assume the office of President in case of presidential absence. 
• Conduct all elections during elected term.
• Lead Staff Olympics initiative throughout duration of term. 
• Assist the President in planning the calendar of Student Council events of the year.
• Completes other duties assigned by the President.

Marketing Chairperson

• Act as a liaison with the marketing department of Campus Recreation Services.
• Work with University Marketing as it relates to the council.
• Prepare all posters and fliers.
• Design outgoing marketing pieces.
• Collaborate with other department, units and student organizations to establish special events.
• Act as a liaison for Campus Recreation Services and the Special Events Committee.
• Completes other duties assigned by the President.

Community Service Chairperson

• Develop and implement monthly community service initiatives.
• Seek community need projects and present them before the Council.
• Implement on-going community service events.
• Collaborate with other departments, units and student organizations to establish partnerships.
• Represent Campus Recreation Services with Viking Expeditions at events.
• Completes other duties assigned by the President.
